SECRET is a private messenger for Android designed around less identity data. It does not require your phone number or name — you connect using your SECRET ID instead. SECRET supports end-to-end encrypted text messages, photos and audio, with a simple interface focused on private communication.
I built SECRET because I wanted a simple messenger that doesn't require people to start a conversation by sharing their phone number or name.
SECRET uses a SECRET ID instead and focuses on a minimal set of features: text, photos and audio with end-to-end encryption.
This is the first public Android release, and I'm especially interested in feedback on the onboarding, the SECRET ID concept and the overall simplicity of the app.
