I'm Nicolas, and I built secret.pics.
It started from a simple idea: what if any photo could be a little game? Instead of
just posting a picture, you hide it behind a few numbered masks — and people have to
answer a question (or complete a photo task) to lift each one, mask by mask, until the
whole image is revealed.
The detail I'm most proud of: the original photo never actually leaves the server.
Players only ever receive the parts they've earned, so there's no "inspect element"
cheat. It's a real reveal, not a blur over the full image.
A few things that make it fun:
