Seaya helps cruise travellers meet and connect before boarding. Join your exact sailing, discover fellow passengers, chat in advance, and make your cruise feel social before the trip even begins. Built for solo cruisers, couples, families, and anyone who wants to meet people beyond scattered Facebook groups and forums.
Hey everyone
I built Seaya after noticing how fragmented cruise communities still are. Every sailing seemed to rely on scattered Facebook groups, WhatsApp chats, spreadsheets, and forums just for people to meet before boarding.
I wanted to make that experience feel much more social and modern.
One thing that surprised me while building this was how difficult niche social apps are early on — people only get value when others on the exact same sailing are active too.
Would genuinely love feedback from travellers, Android users, or anyone who has worked on community-driven apps before.

Who hunted Seaya?
Seaya was hunted by Christian Rios. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
