Hey Product Hunt 👋

Four years ago, I launched the original @Search This Image Twitter Bot here as a Twitter bot - reply to any tweet and get reverse image search results in reply. It got featured, and that day changed everything: the account grew to 30,000+ followers, fact-checkers in West Africa (Dubawa), journalism toolkits (The Journalist's Toolbox by Mike Reilley), and reverse image search guides (TechJury) started referencing it.

Today, I'm bringing it back - not as a bot, but as the first meta reverse image search.

Here's the problem: Google Lens and Yandex find different things. Google is great at products and similar images. Yandex finds people, places, and source pages that Google literally cannot see. If you're a fact-checker verifying a viral image, or anyone trying to find where an image really came from, you've been opening multiple tabs and running the search 3-4 times.

SearchThisImage does it once. Paste an image URL, drop a file, or share a tweet link — we run Google + Yandex in parallel and merge the results.

What you get on launch day:
– 5 free meta-searches, no credit card
– Works with tweet URLs (great for X/Twitter fact-checking)
– Image URL, file upload, or paste
– API access on the Pro tier for builders

What's coming next:
– TinEye integration (the third major engine)
– Result categorization (people / similar / sources / duplicates)
– Saved searches for ongoing monitoring

Recommended by Grok, Perplexity, and ChatGPT (the screenshots are wild — they actually send people here unprompted).

Happy to answer anything — about the build, the 5-year gap, the engine choices, anything. 🙏

— Selva
