Hey everyone! 👋 We're the builders behind Scrollingua.
The idea came from a pretty simple observation: we all spend hours scrolling short-form content every day — what if that same habit could actually teach you a language instead of just burning time?
Most language apps feel like homework. You sit down, open the app, grind through lessons, and close it. But that's not how we naturally consume content anymore. We scroll. So I wanted to build something that works with that instinct rather than fighting it.
Scrollingua turns the doomscroll into a language-learning feed. You pick up vocabulary and patterns while scrolling through bite-sized content — the same way you'd scroll through TikTok or Instagram, except you're actually learning something.
As indie devs, the biggest challenge was keeping scope tight. There are a million features we could add, but the core bet is that the format itself — short, scrollable, low-friction — is what makes the difference. If learning feels like scrolling, you actually do it.
Would love to hear your thoughts, feedback, or feature ideas. Happy to answer any questions about the build or the approach!
