I’m Ece, one of the co-founders of Scrintal.
Today, I am beyond excited to share Scrintal’s new experience, Playground for the Mind! It’s the visual space to shape your ideas one block at a time. This way, going from ideas to insights is fun and easy.
Our product thesis is that we understand the world best when we can ideate, break down our information, and finally structure it in the way we want. It should all be done without switching the context. While current visual tools give us the space to think freely, they don’t help us build our knowledge library. On the other hand, while text editors are great for writing, they don’t help us think.
Since January 2024, we’ve been working on a new canvas experience to build the most enjoyable way to shape ideas in beta. While we’re still early, we’re excited to open it up today and wanted the PH community to be among the first to try.

Looks really cool! What makes it superior to existing whiteboard solutions? Is it an alternative to Affine Pro?
Scrintal is the one of the best productivity tools I've used, including Obsidian. The team is really responsive and the community they have built is very strong. This is one of my foundational tools.
The user experience seems smooth, however it seems like there are a few integrations that can be done for users. Are there any upcoming features that's in pipeline? Would love to know
Hi product hunt! Congratulations! Scrintal stands out because it lets you build ideas visually, one block at a time, without forcing a rigid structure from the start. As for me, I love to explore and expand on different concepts, and Scrintal’s approach is perfect for that. It's great for capturing spontaneous thoughts and then organizing them easily later. Compared to Flomo, which is great for short notes, Scrintal’s visual approach helps connect and develop complex ideas naturally. A must-try for anyone who wants more flexibility in note-taking
I'm curious about how Scrintal enhances the brainstorming process. Are there specific features that make it stand out from other idea-building tools?

Finally find a place to help us summarize our daily messing draft! Scrintal is definitely a supportive online white board for every brainstorming session. It is great to hear that we can use it offline, is there any function or tool that is not available for offline usage?
In addition, can we migrate the board if we want to summarize everything into a big picture and connect our ideas? We usually break it down into different pages and analyze for each of them separately at first.

I went through the video and I am confused. Is it like Obsidian + Trello - you create different buckets of information and then interlink them like you do in Obsidian or Roam Research (zettelkasten method) ?
The infinite canmvas is a dream! I’m able to freely connect ideas and see the bigger picture without getting stuck in a linear process.
