Ask Scouts to track anything on the web -- news, price drops, reservations, leads, customer sentiment -- to spin up a team of agents that autonomously navigate the web and are running 24x7, in the background, proactively notifying you of relevant updates. So you aren't getting buried in tabs and have the mental space to focus on what's most meaningful to you.

Yutori is great! Love the content and presentation of the daily scout reports. Saves me so much time — and provides updates I actually look forward to.

What’s Good

Scouts helps you take all of those web checks you have to run over and over again and allows you to pass them along to others, so you can describe what you care about and it will spin up web check agents to find information for you, such as when prices drop, apartments come online, or reservation options become available, or even niche news articles without having to live within your browser.

It appears to be a clean and simple UI, and the pricing structure allows you to easily start with the free version and scale as needed, the free version allows you to create one Scout and pay versions allow you to create many scouts and increase the frequency of the checks. For most users that track a number of search items, Scouts can give you back time and attention.

What Needs Improvement

While Scouts works well for advanced users, for the average user, it requires much clearer direction for "what to do next" and how it fits into their lives. The onboarding process is somewhat prescriptive, and not all users will want to engage with the examples provided, which may slow down getting to the first "aha" moment. Allowing the user to opt-out of the onboarding process, or skip directly to creating their own scout around their true problem would likely improve activation and retention.

vs Other Options

In comparison to other tools in this space, such as basic keyword alerting tools and single-page tracking tools, Scouts provides a far more robust model where the agent can effectively browse sites and use APIs to retrieve richer context. This provides a significant advantage for users engaged in messy searches across multiple sources (e.g., searching for a home), finding complex deals, etc. At the same time, these other tools offer a more obvious, lower barrier-to-entry experience. As such, Scouts may benefit from improving its messaging and onboarding processes to align with the technical capabilities of the product. If they accomplish this, Scouts presents itself as a more modern method for interacting with the web.

Does it have a Free Plan, and What Can You Do With It?

Yes, the free plan allows you to create and utilize one Scout, and allows you to configure the monitoring to occur up to once per day. Additionally, the free plan also allows you to subscribe to shared Scouts created by others, which can provide a means to test the product using a valid scenario.

How Does Pricing Scale When You Need More Monitoring?

The mid-tier plan allows for multiple Scouts, and more frequent checking than the free plan. The highest tier plan removes all limits, allowing for unlimited Scouts, rapid monitoring, and additional services such as Webhook Integrations and Priority Support. This provides a clear pathway from casual use, to commercial/enterprise level monitoring.

Rating

Ease of Use: 4/5 - Simple to understand and use, however onboarding and messaging could be more direct for non-technical users.

Reliability: 4/5 - Agents are always on, and checking can be configured to meet users' needs. Therefore, coverage appears to be strong assuming the underlying architecture remains reliable.

Value for Money: 4/5 - Offers generous free tier, and a clear progression through pricing levels. However, the jump between pricing levels may appear too large for some users.

Customization: 3/5 - Extremely customizable in theory, however more templates and guided setup procedures would assist users in leveraging that customization potential more quickly.

As a Yutori beta user, I've been loving it since from the first access. Anyway some requests: is it possible to have a new upload feature to enhance better answers within the scouts? I mean the following the use cases I was thinking of:

  1. starting from a pdf i.e a gas invoice

  2. create a prompt "create a new table with all gas offers in [country] based on my personal consumption habits"

or

  1. starting from a pdf i.e. uploading a file "the latest report of the world bank on underdeveloped countries" or Mckinsey report on the latest pharma trends

  2. Yutori suggests some prompts

  3. you can choose a prompt or reformulate by your own

I don’t see any pricing information on the website, not before creating an account at least. Which I won't create: I don’t give personal details to anyone who doesn’t provide basic information first.

Really amazing. Can it populate our db or call a webhook after executing tasks?

Congrats! Love the "Google Alerts on steroids" positioning.

How do the agents decide what's "relevant" vs just noise?

Does it learn from user feedback or is it rule-based?

Wow, Scouts by Yutori looks amazing! The 24/7 autonomous agent idea is brilliant. Im curious, how well does it handle sites with heavy JavaScript rendering?

Big fan of Yutori! Have been using the product to track all types of things over the past handful of months, and I always look forward to my updates (plus learning something new almost every time)

Yutori is great, it has been very helpful when searching for apartments in San Francisco as soon as they get listed. The product is very convenient, providing updates directly in my email inbox.

Set up a lead-monitor and it flowed perfectly. Everything updated without me sitting there watching.

Your thing needs to stop asking me what it doesn't need to give satisfaction.

Satisfy fast, ask my name later.

Love the style/design, it's actually something I was looking for. Trying it out as I'm typing this. 🚀

Hey all, @abhshkdz here from Yutori! 👋

Earlier this year, when we built Scouts, it was born out of a simple observation that many background (or even foreground!) tasks in our lives have a recurring flavor — e.g. apartment hunting, tracking product restocks / deals or discovering hard-to-find products, early stages of travel planning, staying on top of niche news / research / podcasts, discovering local events, finding dinner tables, etc.

It's been gratifying to see all the love and feedback from our closed beta users who've helped shape the product over the last few months.

Today, I'm super excited to share that Scouts is generally available to everyone!

With just a simple query, Scouts lets you deploy a team of AI agents to monitor anything for you. Running 24x7 in the background on the web. So you have the mental space to focus on what's most meaningful to you.

Scouts have access to a host of APIs and can even navigate websites in their own browser environments to proactively bring you relevant information.

This is what the future of interacting with the web looks like. Where you’re not sitting there manually browsing and refreshing, buried in tabs, ads, noise, distractions, context switches. Think Google Alerts on steroids.
