Scheduler0 helps developers schedule jobs and trigger webhooks through a simple API. Power reminders, delayed notifications, and recurring workflows without building your own scheduling infrastructure. You build the experience; Scheduler0 handles when it runs.
I started building Scheduler0 in 2019, shortly after moving to Winnipeg for a software engineering job. I’d left the University of Lagos in my final year studying political science to take that opportunity. Then I got laid off.
With time on my hands while waiting for a new work visa, I began building an application that needed to run jobs periodically. The options I found didn’t offer the combination I wanted: a friendly API and an intuitive way to manage recurring jobs around the lifecycle of the resources they acted on.
Scheduler0 began as a simple API wrapper around SQLite, running jobs in a single process. But my growing interest in Go and distributed systems pushed the project further. I began turning it into a cloud-native distributed scheduler and spent the next few years refining its Raft consensus implementation.
Today, Scheduler0 brings that foundation to developers building everything from scheduled workflows to complex agent coordination systems. The problems have evolved, but the goal remains the same: make scheduling easy to integrate and dependable enough to build on.
