Humanizing the AI here makes a lot of sense. I have heard from several people that applicants who invest a lot of effort in their applications feel discouraged to know an algorithm quietly filters them out. If “Sara” can take the extra step of interviewing them, the whole process will feel much fairer.

You just need to keep an eye on Cluely to make sure they don't fool Sara ;)

Saving time is so important, especially for busy founders trying to juggle sales and hiring at the same time. That said, a bad hire can easily derail a company. Are there any plans to help evaluate for culture fit?

Really enjoyed working with and supporting @kareemayyad and @hussam_ayyad on this launch.

We really got into the details of what sets Sara apart as an AI interviewer, and grappled with the big question looming for our age (especially in light of the Soham controversy!): how should hiring happen now when the only way to tell if someone is both REAL and GOOD seems to be in the trenches with them…

But then that raises a question about how to evaluate candidates at scale — in a way that’s also fair/reasonable.

And so the team focused heavily on improving the experience of the candidate — so that they could put their best foot forward fairly.

AI interviews are clearly the future of hiring — and beyond just bringing in new teammates, the experience that candidates have will also serve as critical brand and relationship building moments that deserve care and intention.

If you've been interviewed by an AI — how was you experience? Did you like it better than being interviewed by a human?

I originally posted from the perspective of using Sara to interview candidates and it absolutely delivers on that front. But after spending more time with it, I realized it's also incredibly valuable for the person being interviewed.

I tested Sara as a candidate myself for a product manager role (which happens to be my real job), and I legitimately started feeling nervous, just like in an actual interview. That moment made it click: this isn’t just a simulation. It’s real enough to trigger the same pressure, pacing, and thought process you'd feel in a live setting.

For anyone preparing for an interview, I can’t recommend this enough. There’s only so much you can rehearse on your own, but practicing with Sara gives you structure, feedback, and the reps you need to walk into your next interview more prepared and more confident.

Seriously, hats off again to the teammates.ai team. This isn’t just a tool for recruiters. It’s a win for candidates too.

Just tried the live demo… WOW. As someone who’s been deep in the hiring trenches for the past 6 months (we had over 1,800 applicants for one role), this hit home hard.
