I built SaneDesk because I kept seeing the same cycle: fellow freelancers and remote workers burning out trying to juggle client schedules, payment tracking, and their own mental health. It’s a specific, brutal struggle, and I wanted to build something that actually helps you manage the business side without losing your mind.
I started developing this during my foundation year after IGCSE. This is my first real launch, and I know it’s just the beginning I’ve got plenty more on the roadmap.
My approach to building this shifted pretty drastically while I was working on the launch. I used to get paralyzed trying to perfect the logic before pushing anything live, which just led to me shelving the project for weeks at a time. I finally realized that waiting for 'perfect' is just a form of procrastination. I decided to strip it back, ship the core functionality, and commit to fixing bugs and improving the experience based on actual feedback.

Finally tried the sidekick feature today and watching it level up after a week of journaling felt way more motivating than I expected, and the built in invoicing saved me from juggling tabs.
