My dad has been collecting records for forty years. He also has boxes in the attic nobody has opened since the 90s. Those are two different problems, and he wants two different things from them: the records he wants organised, digital, and out where he can enjoy them. The rest he’d happily see the back of.
The trouble is that both take the same tedious work. Photograph it, look it up, find out what it is and what it’s worth, write something. Do that forty times and you just close the wardrobe instead.
