ruup.site was created out of frustration that no existing tools could answer the simple question: when there was a problem, what did the users actually see on their screen?
Other monitors do not offer any insight into this, and all the dashboard metadata in the world can't replace a simple screenshot taken from a browser.
In making this we've learned that other monitoring services can't run browsers at their price points; browsers are large and complex pieces of software that require a lot of resources, and in trying to be cheap other providers have left out this crucial feature.
We made this because we needed it, and we're offering it to the public because we think we're not the only ones who care about actual user experience and want to know what happened and not just that something happened.
