For the last year, Iโve been running long AI jobs, coding agents, and heavy deployment workflows on my Mac.
As time went on, the problem wasnโt remote control. It was the constant anxiety of wondering:
Did it finish?
Did it crash?
Is it stuck?
Can I safely leave my desk?
It got so bad that I literally started carrying my laptop around my house slightly open ("taco mode" ๐ฎ) so it wouldnโt go to sleep while long-running tasks were still compiling, rendering, or downloading.
At the same time, I was building AI infrastructure for another side project and realized I could use the same technology to supervise my own machine.

Runwhile uses a hybrid deterministic workflow engine. LLMs handle intent understanding, while execution is delegated to fast, deterministic JavaScript extractors and native macOS tooling.
What started as a simple WhatsApp bot I built over a weekend evolved into a full web app, installable PWA, native Mac agent, and distributed system after fellow engineers kept asking me to share it with them.
