RunLookout
Know when a client's n8n workflow fails, before they do
RunLookout watches your clients' n8n servers every 5 minutes. It messages you on Telegram when a run fails, a schedule is missed, a step returns 0 items, or a server goes down. Each alert comes with a note you can forward to the client.
Hi Product Hunt, this is the RunLookout team.
If you run n8n for clients, you know how this usually goes. A workflow breaks on Friday, the client notices on Monday, and you hear about it from them.
RunLookout checks each client server every 5 minutes through the n8n API. It only reads. It never edits a workflow or adds a node. You get a Telegram message when:
- a run fails
- a scheduled run doesn't happen (10-minute grace)
- a run shows Success but a step you picked returned 0 items
- a server can't be reached twice in a row
The third one is why we built it. n8n marks those runs green, so the error workflow never fires. A renamed CRM field can stop leads for a week without a single red run.
Every alert comes with a short note you can forward to the client.
Works with self-hosted n8n and n8n Cloud. 14 days free, no card. Then $9/month for up to 10 client servers or $19 for unlimited. FOUNDING30 takes 30% off for life for the first 50 customers, until 30 October.
How does it compare? We wrote it up honestly: vs the n8n Error Workflow (app.runlookout.workers.dev/compare/n8n-error-workflow) and vs Vivere (app.runlookout.workers.dev/compare/vivere).
One question for anyone running n8n for clients: what's the failure that bit you hardest? We read every reply.
