I built RugSize to solve a common, expensive problem: buying an area rug online and realizing too late that it either swallows the room or makes furniture look like it's floating awkwardly.
Most interior design blogs offer generic advice like "leave an 18-inch border," but that rarely translates into confidence when you’re measuring an actual room.
With RugSize, we built a zero-bloat, browser-based 2D spatial canvas:
• Live Clearance Engine: Drag and position furniture over standard rug sizes (5x8, 8x10, 9x12, etc.) to immediately see perimeter ratios.
• Door & Walkway Clearance: Visual warnings for tight door swings and obstructed paths.
• Lightweight & Fast: 100/100 Core Web Vitals, instant loading, and completely free to use without creating an account.
