Hey Product Hunt, Alex here. I built Routio because tracking mileage for taxes is weirdly broken. The popular apps hiked their prices, hide the actual tax report behind extra steps, or quietly make money off your location data, and most of them want an account before they will log a single mile.
Routio is the opposite. Open it once, grant location, and it logs every drive in the background. Swipe to mark a drive business or personal and it learns your routes so it mostly does that for you. At tax time, one tap gives you a clean IRS Schedule C summary you can hand your accountant or drop into your tax software.
Three things I cared about most:
1. No account, ever. Your drives stay on your device and your own private iCloud. I never see them and they are never sold.
2. A real tax package, not just a list of trips.
3. One fair price. 59.99 a year with a 7 day free trial. At 72.5 cents a deductible mile it pays for itself in about a week of driving.
