Hi PH family! My name is Mayank, one of the cofounders of Roundtable. As Princeton PhD students in cognitive science running hundreds of online surveys, we started Roundtable with a simple idea: what if we could use AI to simulate responses to survey questions? This would speed up the research pipeline, reduce costs, and allow us to sidestep increasingly complicated data quality issues. We train large language models on curated survey datasets and provide an intuitive design interface that lets you receive high-quality data instantaneously. You can ask Roundtable any question targeting any demographic and will get an informed response quickly. We extended this idea with an enterprise offering: Roundtable Alias, a survey simulator and explorer that gives you insights on how the model reaches its survey estimates. Roundtable Alias trains AI models on your proprietary customer data to build a model of your customers. You can then use the Roundtable platform to simulate surveys with your customers. Crucially, Alias will show you similar questions from your training data and use these to compute confidence metrics to help you interpret the results.
