I built Rotation for myself. I love finding music, and streaming counts only tell you what already got played. A Shazam is someone hearing a record and asking what it is. A country's chart that differs from the world's is a place finding something on its own. Rotation reads those every morning into one ledger and publishes what's moving, with the receipts under every claim: which source, which market, which day.
The map is the part you can hold. Each country on the globe shows the record it's playing that the rest of the world isn't. Press it and it plays. Pick a record and the globe inverts to show everywhere it's charting. This morning one record led 11 countries; 57 countries had a lead nobody else has.
Shuffle drops you on a country you didn't pick, plays what's #1 there, and tells you why it chose it. No record twice, no place twice, until you've heard the whole deck. It's like walking into a record shop in a city you've never been to.
The rest of the site is the same idea in other shapes: a daily edition of the ledger, numbered pressings with liner notes, older records charting again, and a free in-browser key/BPM analyzer that shows its confidence and its measured accuracy.
