I'm a heavy free-tier user — switching between Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini whenever one hits its limit. Every time I got cut off, I'd open a new session and spend 10 minutes re-explaining the same project, the same decisions, the same context. It felt like getting my memory wiped repeatedly.
So I built rot to solve it for myself. It auto-detects when you hit a rate limit, scrapes your conversation, and uses Groq's free API to distill it into a structured handoff prompt — project context, behavioral tone, mental model. Paste it into a new session and pick up exactly where you left off.
