Hey Product Hunt 👋 I built Role Ready because most interview-prep tools bake one framework (usually STAR) directly into the app. I wanted something different: pick any reasoning framework — STAR, PREP, 3-2-1, Problem-Solution-Impact, or a custom one for a specific interview style like enterprise architecture reasoning — and have the app work with all of them the same way, because frameworks are just editable data, not hard-coded logic. What it does: • Attach a job description and get AI-suggested interview questions grounded in it • Pick a Persona (your role, level, background, strengths) and a Framework, then generate structured analysis, answers at multiple depths, follow-ups, and evaluation feedback for each question • Edit answers, track practice attempts, rate your confidence, and mark mastery per question • Organize everything into Preparation Sessions so you're not reselecting the same setup every time • Add your own frameworks with zero code changes — it's just data It's local-first: React + TypeScript frontend, Express backend, SQLite storage, all running on your machine. Nothing is uploaded anywhere except the minimal prompt sent to your own configured AI provider, and only when you click Generate. No accounts, no telemetry. It's free and open source (MIT).
