Hey PH 👋 Chad here. Roamward started from two frustrations. First: every nav app optimizes for fastest, and the fastest route is how you miss America. Second — and this is the one that became the product — on a road trip, everyone books the destination, but the hard night is the one in the middle. You don't know exactly where you'll stop, so you end up at whatever's next to the interstate at 9pm. So we built the trip around the drive itself: 60+ scenic routes and 100+ corridor guides with honest detour times, 3,900+ restaurants curated town-by-town, and a “where to break the drive” shelf with real named places at the midpoint towns, not just the endpoints. It's free and you can plan without an account. The iOS beta is testing the part I'm most excited about: GPS-verified check-ins that color in a US map of the states you've actually seen, with collectible patches — proof you lived it, not just planned it. Mile Markers keeps the quiet stretches moving with tap-light classics, while Route Rally turns your own itinerary into trivia. I'll be here all day — tell me your worst “9pm-interstate-motel” story, or the midpoint town you swear by.

Who hunted Roamward?

Roamward was hunted by Chad Smith. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
