Roamr For Friends by Roamr enables employees to earn income for saving their company money on travel. We're sick of old corporate travel processes & experiences. The way we work & live has changed. Its now time to disrupt corporate travel processes too.
Stephen here, Founder of Roamr—and today, I’m beyond excited to introduce Roamr for Friends to you all!
Work travel has always been broken. Expensive hotels, lonely stays, and zero financial benefit for employees. Meanwhile, companies are burning cash on accommodation with rising hotel prices. Instead, employees could be staying with people they actually know and trust.
That’s why we built Roamr for Friends—a super simple way for employees to stay with friends instead of hotels—and get paid for it. 💰 Your company saves money, you and your host earn a kickback, and work travel actually becomes enjoyable.
We’re already working with companies like Deel, Remote, and Oyster to help their people rethink work travel, and today, Roamr is live in 100+ countries! 🌍
This idea started when @jason_o_gorman1 and I saw the radical shift in the way we work. Distributed work means teams are more global and while that is great for flexibility, we need to meet regularly in person to build culture, collaboration and engagement. However, that costs a fortune nowadays. We found a win-win-win.
We’re thrilled to launch this to the Product Hunt community and would love to have some of you test the product on your next trip! Excited to hear your feedback, and help us make work travel more rewarding! 🚀
Well done Roamr team! The benefits in building comradery amongst employees is limitless. Not alone does Roamr solve accommodation issues but it also nurtures human interaction amongst employees. Something that happens less and less in teams.
Love the concept and as a CFO it’s seem like a win win.
Only bit I was confused about was why I, as an employee, need to pay with my credit card?
Am I not the one receiving payment?
I wish this was around before covid! This could help bring biz travel back!
Great work Steven this is game changer of product. That not only could change the way we work but how we view Real Estate I could pick no better man to drive on a project and ensure success.
best of luck with it @stephen_dooley1 great idea well on the way.. chapeau
Really like the sound of the product, Stephen. This not only benefits both the employee and employer financially but also shows appreciation for the employees' dedication as 'Travel time' often sits outside company hours. Congrats on the launch, looking forward to following the journey.
This is a super creative way to make business travel more affordable and sociable! Loving the concept. Congrats on launching!🎉
Congratulations on launching! Roamr is really a great travel product that can changes the industry. We recently built an app similar to Airbnb, and I have to say that Roamr is a strong competitor by comparison, with its unique approach for work travelers and excellent technical execution.
Roamr makes trip planning a breeze. Its clean design and fresh ideas help me uncover hidden gems, whether it's for a quick weekend getaway or a longer adventure. Highly recommended!
Really great concept and great to see it come to life. Win win for everyone. Best of luck Stephen!
Love this - all about the Sharing Economy - which I think is the best way forward. So many people now automatically choose Airbnb over hotel stays when travelling for pleasure, so why wouldn't the same happen for work travel on Roamr!? Really looking forward to watching this grow.
Really interesting concept Stephen. I'm sure it can be of huge benefit to companies given the increasing costs of business travel - look forward to seeing the adoption - best of luck.
Huge congrats on launching Roamr! This is such a smart and much-needed solution—finally, a way to make work travel more affordable and enjoyable for everyone. Love the win-win-win approach, and it’s amazing to see it already being used by companies like Deel and Remote. Wishing you all the success, and can’t wait to see how this grows!
