Rippler watches cron jobs and anything else that runs on a schedule — backups, imports, queue workers, CI. The job pings a URL when it runs; if the ping doesn't arrive when it was expected, you get an email or a Discord alert. rippler sync reads your crontab and wires every job up in one command.

Top comment

Hey hunters, Ramon here. Rippler watches cron jobs (and anything else on a schedule). The job pings a URL when it runs; if that ping doesn't show when it should, you get email or Discord. I built it for Savee's own crons and productized what we were already using internally. The part I actually wanted: `rippler sync` reads the crontab you already have and wires every job up in one command, instead of creating checks by hand.

Free for 10 monitors. Would love feedback from anyone running backups or CI on a timer.

Who hunted Rippler?

Rippler was hunted by Ramon Fritsch. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
