Ringtone Cropper
Free ringtone maker for Android & iPhone, in your browser
Turn audio files or permitted YouTube links into Android and iPhone ringtones. Trim the waveform, add fades, and export MP3, M4A, M4R or WAV. Free and open source, with no account needed. Local files and editing stay in your browser.
Hi Product Hunt! I'm Apoorv, the maker of Ringtone Cropper.
The idea is simple: take your favorite moment from an audio file, trim it, and make it your next ringtone.
You can:
• Upload audio/video or import a YouTube link you're permitted to download.
• Start with an exact 30-second clip, use 15/30/40-second presets, or drag the waveform handles for a custom length.
• Preview and loop your selection, add fade-in/out, and normalize volume.
• Export MP3 for Android, M4A/M4R for iPhone workflows, or uncompressed WAV.
• Use the editor on mobile or desktop, with light, dark, and system themes.
It's free, open source, and doesn't need an account. Local files stay on your device; YouTube imports use a server, while trimming and export happen in your browser. The site also includes phone setup instructions, including the GarageBand step for iPhone.

I'd love your feedback on the editor and export flow. What would make it more useful for you?
Simple and useful! It reminds me of the old days when we used to program ringtones on the Nokia 3310 using letters and numbers :)
