Hey, I'm Yehuda, the developer behind RG Forms.
I built RG Forms to make adding a contact form to a static site genuinely simple. If you host on GitHub Pages, Netlify, Vercel, or just a plain HTML page on a CDN, you still need something to catch the submission, and I wanted the data to land somewhere I already own and trust.
Here's how it works: you sign in with Google, and in about 90 seconds RG Forms provisions a Google Sheet, a Drive folder, and an Apps Script web app, all inside your own Google account. You get a permanent HTTPS endpoint that you POST to from client-side JavaScript. Every submission becomes a row in your Sheet and sends you an email. It's free (it runs on Google's own quotas), and your data stays in your Google account.
There are a lot of great form and email tools out there. Where RG Forms shines is when you want zero ongoing cost, full ownership of your data in a Google Sheet you control, and a setup that takes under two minutes. It also supports CC and BCC, reply-to, honeypot spam protection, and multiple forms per sheet, plus an RGFORMS.md export so an AI assistant like Claude Code or Cursor can wire up the form for you automatically.
