There was no good way to browse Reddit in our favorite spreadsheet platform. With people being forced back into the office, we wanted to create a lightweight and discreet solution of getting your daily Reddit dose inside a familiar interface.
Hi Product Hunters! 👋 I'm Aaron, Co-Founder of TRIANGL (triangl.io)!
We thought to leverage our spreadsheet mastery by sharing advanced and creative ways to use Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets. We're talkin' full applications, not generic templates. More of our story here: https://triangl.io/pages/our-story
This led to the creation of REXL | reddit for excel, a customizable Reddit browser built natively inside a macro-enabled Excel file, cross-compatible with Windows and Mac. No plug-ins (including Power Query) or add-ons required. It was an absolute hit when we ran a beta period on Reddit.
We're excited to launch V1.0 of REXL to the Product Hunt Community, and giving it FREE for Saturday, July 29 (4AM to 11PM, ET)! All you need to do is:
1. Sign up (and confirm) for our newsletter on triangl.io with a permanent email address, and
2. Checkout your copy of REXL with the same email address, no credit card required. (If the 100% discount does not automatically apply, use "REXL4PRODUCTHUNT" at checkout.)
We will fulfil all eligible orders on Monday, July 31.
As part of planned enhancements (and lifetime updates), we are already working on:
- View multi-image posts.
- Ability to save a post to read later.
- Dark mode.
- Securely login to your Reddit account.
- Additional customization options and preferences for fonts, sizes, etc.
- ... and more!
Really looking forward to hearing everyone’s feedback!
Congratulations on your remarkable product launch! Wishing you all the success ahead.
This is genius. Gotta try it for the culture. Congratulations on the launch Aaron!
It looks awesome, and it will be constructive for me. I would like to congratulate you on the launch.
Congrats on the launch of REXL! The idea of a customizable Reddit browser natively inside Excel is impressive. Can't wait to try it out!
Congratulations on your launch! It's impressive how you identified a unique need and addressed it with a discreet solution. Integrating Reddit into a familiar spreadsheet platform sounds intriguing and practical for office users. Best of luck with your app, and I hope it gains widespread adoption among those seeking a seamless Reddit experience while at work!
