Super cool to see Rewind fill out its valuation and trajectory with a wearable that makes a bunch of sense - a fully extended memory that captures everything you hear and puts it locally and securely on device for later retrieval. It's smart to go fast and try and deliver something at low cost. Will be interesting to see how this is taken up by folks, and whether or not Meta or others bundle the same tech into their own devices.
@dsiroker very interesting! If I'm reading this right, it transcribes and stores text but doesn't store recording? Certainly a little Black Mirror but it also feels like one of those inevitable-so-lets-do-it-right things.
Oh, I love it! I wish you could provide some API (Privacy enabled) for third parties because the possibilities for analyzing the data, especially with AI, are endless! Good luck :)
As someone who use to rock a Narrative Clip daily, this kind of wearable tech is right up my alley. Cool idea, great price point at least for pre-order. I know it's still early so wishing the best of luck. Once there are some demos of the tech or maybe a pic on the site of someone wearing it so I can get a better idea of the form factor...i'll probably pull the trigger on one! 🙌
It only records your voice? Do you have any legal issues for recording others voices in the states that prohibit recording without notification and consent?
Interesting product idea - will you have an API for integration with other apps?
I've watched enough Sopranos to know I shouldn't buy this. Kind of joking, kind of not, I'm interested to see where this goes. Specifically how much adoption it gets.
Using this device is a state where it's illegal to record a persons voice without their consent will get you arrested for a felony. For example, the U.S. state of Pennsylvania.
