Hey there Product Hunt 👋 I'm Dan, co-founder & CEO of Rewind ⏪

Today we are launching Rewind for iPhone!

Rewind for iPhone is a truly personalized AI in your pocket. Browse, search, and ask Rewind about what you’ve seen on your phone. One user said “it’s like having a personal assistant that is everywhere and remembers everything for you”

Here’s how it works

1. 🔍 Browse & search for anything you’ve seen (including screenshots)

Screenshots have long been a quick, convenient way to capture and save data, yet their organization and recall capabilities have been sorely lacking. Rewind takes anything you’ve read in Safari + all your screenshots and makes them instantly searchable (and copy-pastable). You can now preserve & search anything you’ve seen on your iPhone. This opens a new dimension of computing: time.

2. 🤖 Summarize and ask any question using AI

Rewind integrates with OpenAI GPT-4 to allow you to ask any question about anything you’ve seen. Create summaries, synthesize information across apps, or remind yourself how you know someone.

3. 🔐 Private by design

  • - Private browsing in Safari is not captured.
  • - Using GPT-4 is optional and only the relevant text necessary to answer your question is used.
  • - Your data is not used to train AI models.
  • - All recordings are stored locally and only you have access to them.

First AI tool I've encountered that I'll use daily. Indistinguishable from magic. I can't wait to see how it evolves.

Is it really free? because the pricing page on the website says it isn't, just free to try. Please clarify as you have marked it as "Free" here on ProducHunt.

Congratulations on the launch guys! 🥳 But it would be great if it was supported in Android also. 😜

Kudos on the successful launch of another extraordinary product that seamlessly integrates AI technology. Congratulations!

Well, you guys are building up something interesting here! Just tried the “Ask Rewind” feature and got an extensive reply of where is the recycling station I was looking for, based on a screenshot I took inside Google Lens. The app was able to point out that I was using Google Lens to translate from Thai to English, and reminded me of the types of plastics that are accepted at the recycling station. Now, any plans of including photos as well? If I can ask Rewind: “What is the name of the florist where I bought roses for my girlfriend?” —assuming that there is a photo that shows the facade and that I'm giving permission to check the metadata— well, that would be a game changer.

I have been using this app for a while now. It's such a life saver. This is really useful when you do lot of meetings, lot of testing and want to trace back your steps what did you do, what was shared, what was said, how did it break etc.

I've been using the app for a while, and it has saved me several times when I thought I could never remember what some person said during the meeting and what was that article about behavior science.

As a user of Rewind for Mac over the past few months, I dreamt of Rewind for iPhone but couldn't imagine how hard of an undertaking it was. This seems like it would be such a meaty challenge ... to capture most of your browsing on such a 'locked down' device like the iPhone. Very clever use of the Safari Extension API and photo library access to certainly achieve the near unachievable. Love your work team

Big fan of Rewind.ai on macOS - excited to see this iOS app arrival! Would love to see searches of the desktop available on mobile, like an "ask rewind" that could intelligently respond on mobile about your Mac's stored activity. Keep up the great work Dan, Heidi, and the whole team at Rewind!

dont have an iphone to test it but seems very interesting, have to see it in action. before the end part of the video im like holy moly they scan everything you do but then it said its stored on your phone! and the founder is videoing himself in front of family photos to make everything more trustable, coincidence? marketing move?
