Hi Product Hunt — Dongkook and Taeyang here. We run three tonkatsu shops in Seoul and built this because we couldn't explain why the place down the street was busier. Their customers had written the answer in hundreds of Google reviews; nobody reads hundreds of reviews. ReviewVoice reads the reviews of nearby places and compares them with yours: what their customers praise, where they slip, what to check at your place, with the review behind every line. It also drafts a reply for every review you get, in the reviewer's language. One rule we won't bend: 1–3★ replies wait for your approval. We reply to reviews, we never create them. Free: one nearby place analyzed once + drafts for your last 50 reviews. $9/mo for the first 100 teams. We'd love to hear which industry you'd point it at first. Thanks for looking.

Comment highlights

Hi Product Hunt, Dongkook here. I write the code; Taeyang runs the shops.

ReviewVoice reads the Google reviews of the places near you and yours, and tells you what customers praise next door and what to check at your place. It also drafts replies. Free to start: your place + one nearby place, once. No card.

A few things I struggled with while building it, in case it's useful to other builders:

1. Making it not lie. "Customers love the service" is useless and easy to make up. So the report quotes the reviews behind its findings, and you can read them and judge for yourself.

2. Deciding what is "worth copying." A busy place gets praised for a hundred things. The hard part wasn't reading reviews. It was separating what a neighbor can act on next week (a readable menu, seats for solo diners) from what they can't (the location).

3. The wait. Reading reviews properly takes minutes, not seconds. Even the free snapshot (up to 50 reviews per place) takes a few minutes. I stopped fighting that: the report keeps running if you close the tab, and we email you when it's ready.

4. Google's permission screen. Google's wording ("see, edit, create and delete") scares people off, and I can't change it. We use it to read your reviews, profile and Google stats, and to post replies. We never change or delete your listing, photos or hours. The sign-in page explains this permission right under the Google button. It's still our biggest drop-off.

5. Replies. Nothing posts on its own unless you turn on auto-posting. Even then, 1–3★ replies always wait for you. That one was never a debate.

What I'm still unsure about: is a "your report is ready" email fine, or do you expect results on screen right away? And which review source would you add after Google?

Who hunted ReviewVoice?

ReviewVoice was hunted by Taeyang Song. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
