Hey There Product Hunt! We have always been intimidated and stressed out by the legal documents we have to review in our work and personal lives. Speaking to people from all walks of life, we're not alone - thats why only 16% of people actually read documents before they sign them. Theres a huge problem here - people can't always afford a lawyer, and if they can't understand what they're reading then it opens them up to a huge amount of risk. But this doesn't have to be the case. With the recent advancements in AI we wanted to build a tool that does three things: - Gives the user the best understanding of their legal contract as possible - Speeds up the process of reviewing a legal document to save our users time - Reduces the stress of reviewing legal documents Our goal for review.legal is to help democratise parts of the legal process - making it far more accessible and far less intimidating. This MVP hopefully starts us on the journey of achieving these goals so we welcome as much feedback as possible whilst we start thinking ahead to the future. There are some things we would like to do moving forward which include improving security, adding pdf functionality, improving UX/design - but we would also like to hear from you what features would help you review your legal documents better. So please test it out and let us know! Many thanks and happy reviewing :)

Awsome!! Just wondering is all the information kept up-to-date with current laws and regulations?

Reviewing legal documents is such a pain. I love the idea. I tried to check the pricing on your website, but the link wasn’t working. Could you provide some information on the pricing?

Hey! If you've ever found yourself sweating over legal jargon that reminds you of that time you tried to read War and Peace, then this is the tool for you. These guys are on a mission to remove the 'lawyer language' barrier and their product does just that. Quick and easy, no law degree necessary — perfect for signing with confidence and not getting that sudden fear of "Wait, did I just sell my soul?” Anyhow, cheers to fewer sleepless nights, folks! Give it a spin!

Congratulations on the launch of review.legal! 🚀 As someone who has signed up for way too many newsletters because I didn’t read the fine print, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate this. Finally, a tool that can turn “legalese” into “legal-easy”! I’m all in for anything that saves me from the horrors of contract jargon and keeps my stress levels below “about to explode.” Can’t wait to give it a spin and avoid future signatory disasters. Keep up the great work!

It's a huge time-saver and reduces the stress of signing contracts. Congrats, Fred!

I really like this idea and the recommendations that others have made regarding pdf support as well as reviewing website ToS / privacy policy.

Wonderful idea, this is very helpful for people like me who don't know anything about legal documents!

I like it. This deserves more than 4 views on YouTube. 😄 Congrats on the launch 🎉

It will make life a lot simpler to understand what thsose documents are saying. Fantastic.

Great MVP! I think supporting PDF is a must - but I'm sure it's on your roadmap. I also think account creation can be shortened (there are a few optional fields in there), so people can get to that aha moment quickly! To get to aha moment quickly, why not start an onboarding right after the user logins for the first time - for example, you can open the upload a document in full screen/pop up, and with each step, you can use tool tips or interactive guides to help users understand what does summary highlights, how the details show section by section and how they can ask questions with the context of each section, etc. Congrats on launching such a great product @fred_leeming1 and team - I would try to use it on my offer letter or other important legal documents even personally!

I wish I had this for when I bought my house to help me understand all the contracts and terms better—looking forward to trying this out and feeling much more confident in signing future contracts. Great work team!

Going through legal contracts is always a headache. Tools like this are truly practical.

Hey @fred_leeming1 great work! Congrats on the launch. Have you thought about: - GDPR compliance so that we can safely use it in Europe (I know it stinks, but what can we do ;) - sharing the docs with the team / clients?

I'm curious about the AI's capabilities. How does it handle complex legal jargon and nuances in contracts to provide clear explanations to users? Great launch!

This is really useful. Is there any option where it could instantly review any website's terms and privacy in a flash? I think that's very demanding, as most people don't have time to read them fully and just accept anything, which isn't okay at all.

Congrats on the launch, Fred! review.legal sounds incredibly useful for demystifying legal documents. How accurate are the clause-by-clause explanations, and are there plans to support additional document formats beyond text-based contracts?
