A while back I was watching a livestream from someone I really respect — someone with real knowledge to share. I had a question, so I typed it into the chat. And my message just... scrolled away. The streamer never saw it. I felt genuinely frustrated — and at the same time I started thinking: how do you actually solve this?
Weeks passed, and it finally clicked: what if every reaction to a message in chat affected its weight? Then the chat stops being just a chat. If a message's position depends on reactions — likes and dislikes, upvotes and downvotes — it's no longer a chronological stream of messages. It becomes something else entirely: a kind of window for questions, requests, pitches, or just emotional reactions.
That's the idea that made me build ReversePoll.
