RetroGames
NES, SNES, GBA & Arcade — no install, no signup, just play
Hey PH! 👋
I built Fugu because I wanted a dead-simple way to play classic retro games without downloading emulators, hunting for ROMs, or creating accounts.
What it is: A free, browser-based retro game library. Just pick a game and play — instantly.
What's under the hood:
- NES, SNES, GBA & Arcade emulation running entirely in-browser via WebAssembly
- Clean, fast UI built with React on Cloudflare Workers (loads globally in <1s)
- Multi-language support (中文 / English / 繁體中文)
- PWA — install it like a native app on your phone or desktop
- Favorites, game ratings, platform browsing — the little things that make it feel like a proper library, not a ROM dump
Why I made it: Most retro gaming sites are either cluttered with ads, require sketchy downloads, or have terrible UX on
mobile. I wanted something I'd actually enjoy using myself.
Would love to hear what platforms or features you'd want next. A few things I'm considering:
- Save state sync across devices
- Multiplayer support
- More platforms (N64, Genesis, Neo Geo)
Happy to answer any questions about the tech stack or the project!

Who hunted RetroGames?
RetroGames was hunted by Retro. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
