I'm the solo maker behind Retro MP3 Jukebox software. I originally developed the core of this software back in 2004 using Visual Basic 5 (VB5), and this year, I completely overhauled and modernized the codebase to ensure native compatibility and fluid performance on Windows 10 and Windows 11.
My goal remains the same: to bring the authentic magic, visual warmth, and nostalgia of 1970s and 80s commercial jukeboxes to modern Windows devices. Whether you are building a DIY arcade cabinet, setting up a man-cave, or throwing a house party, Retro MP3 Jukebox software provides bit-perfect local audio playback (FLAC, WAV, MP3) packed with reactive neon light choreography and a fluid touchscreen interface.
It is 100% offline, privacy-focused, and completely free of subscriptions. A 15-day free trial is available on the Microsoft Store so you can fully test its capabilities! While you are there, feel free to check out my developer profile to explore the other software applications I have built over the years—you might find something else that catches your interest!
On a personal note, I am an older gentleman now, but there is still nothing quite like sitting in my lounge room, putting on a playlist, and just watching the neon choreography on the screen for hours. Looking at it today, it fills me with pride to see how the interface layout I originally envisioned back in 2004 still holds its charm and captivates me just as much today.
I would love to hear your feedback, thoughts, or feature requests. Thank you so much for the support! 🚀
