Run lots of Codex and Claude Code agents at once, across every project, without losing track of them. Threads, forks, a canvas, an inbox for everything that needs you. For Windows and macOS.
Over the last few weeks I've really been using Codex and Claude to solve a lot of parallel tasks, across a lot of different projects. This lead me to wishing that I could interface with my agents in the same way that I interface with my already existing windows and editors. For me, this usually means that I have like 5 to anywhere around 8 different windows that I drag around depending on where I want to focus, this could mean I am focusing on the terminal now, or I want to test stuff in a simulator or browser; but when I go to interface with agents, I have to manage many tabs, or I have to look through a list in their native apps. This is not convenient for me, and I'm almost certain this is not convenient for many of you.
That's why I built an infinite canvas, where my traditional desktop style workflow can come to life alongside my agents, I can drag them around depending on where I want my focus to be, or I can let them just pile up, like the 15 finder windows you're hiding with your browser right now. But, when I do want to go back to that thread, I will intuitively just know right where it is.
I didn't stop there though, I really enjoyed the inbox style agent interface that Google shipped many months ago with Anti Gravity, but I didn't really enjoy much other than that, so, I built that in too.
But, I still didn't stop there, a traditional code editor still comes in handy every once and awhile, just to read, or to tradcode, though Ret doesn't feature a VS-Code fork, yet anyways, maybe one day something similar could exist, it does feature a fairly comparable implementation, powered by the same technology, in a similar layout, just without the plugins and bloat.
But, I didn't stop there either, the traditional sidebar and one centered chat is a nice experience sometimes, so I built that in too.
I guess you probably can see where this is going, but that's also not where I stopped. Working on a single focused thread can be beneficial, but I am a heavy fork user, so I made it convenient to work side by side your main thread and a fork, with ambitions to expand on this in the future as I feel out how many forks or side chats are worth working on at the same time in the 'focused' view. But focus view doesn't stop there, instead of having only one chat in focus, and having to then jump back to the sidebar, I thought, well hey, browser tabs are great, so I built those in too.
I know it sounds like there's a lot of things built in here, and there is, but trust me, it doesn't feel bloated at all, it feels amazing. I really think this is something that greatly benefits my productivity, and I hope that some of you also feel my excitement when trying it out.

Who hunted Ret?
Ret was hunted by Chris. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
