Last time we launched (ResumeUp 2.0, March 2025 - thank you for the #1), we were a resume builder. You chat, it writes an ATS-safe resume in minutes. That took us past 500K users.
But the support inbox kept saying the same thing: "great resume, now what?" People were spending 20 minutes tailoring for every application, applying to roles that already had 500 applicants, and hearing nothing back. The resume was never the bottleneck. The job search was.
So we rebuilt around the job instead of the resume.
What runs now:
– We watch 100K+ job boards and ATS systems continuously and pull each role the moment it's posted. You see it fresh, not three weeks and 400 applicants later.
– Each role is matched to your profile: role, keywords, semantic fit, location.
– For every match, the agent tailors your resume to that listing. It shows you three buckets (skills you have, skills matching the JD, skills the JD wants that you didn't list) and you pick what goes in. Nothing gets stuffed in silently.
– Then it applies on your behalf.
The builder, ATS checker and cover letters are all still there. They just come after the job now.
