Chrome reopens your tabs but drops you at the top of every page and the start of every video. ResumeTabs puts you back where you actually were, even after a crash. Free, no sign-up, and nothing leaves your computer.
Hey everyone, I made ResumeTabs.
Chrome is good at bringing your tabs back after a restart, but every page opens at the top again and every video starts from 0:00. If you had an article half-read or a long video paused near the end, you're hunting for your place in all of them. And after a crash, sometimes the tabs don't come back at all.
So ResumeTabs saves as you browse. When you reopen, you get your tabs and windows back (pinned tabs and groups too), each page scrolled to the same spot, and each video at the second you left it. That works on YouTube without being signed in.
It also catches crashes, keeps a history of past sessions you can search, and lets you export them to a file. If you have a huge session, it opens a few tabs at a time so your laptop doesn't choke.
No account, no servers, no tracking, no ads. It all stays on your computer, and it skips passwords, card numbers and one-time codes. It's free.
It's not perfect yet. PDFs, Chrome's own pages and videos inside embedded players come back as plain tabs without the position.
If you try it, tell me which site it got wrong. I'll be around all day.

Who hunted ResumeTabs?
ResumeTabs was hunted by SamWesker. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
