Hi Product Hunt! I’m the solo developer behind Resume Score.
I built this because I kept seeing the same problem: people would get a generic ATS score, make a few keyword changes, and still get rejected. The missing piece was that resumes were not being compared against a specific job posting.
Resume Score is built around that workflow. You upload your resume, paste the job description, and get a match score, the requirements you’re missing, and a rewritten ATS-safe resume that uses the employer’s vocabulary.
One thing I was very strict about: the AI is not allowed to invent experience. It can rephrase and reorganize what is already in the resume, but it does not add employers, titles, dates, qualifications, or metrics. If a bullet would be stronger with a number, it leaves a placeholder for the user to fill in.
The biggest challenge was finding the balance between ATS optimization and honesty. A resume can be optimized without becoming misleading.
