RescueNow
One-tap SOS, safety monitoring, and travel readiness
RescueNow helps people prepare essential information before an emergency and act quickly when one happens. It can send an SOS with location, selected medical details, and travel information to contacts chosen by the user. Optional monitoring supports shock or fall alerts, medication reminders, a medical QR, and Wear OS vitals. Sensitive profiles and recent rescue records stay encrypted on the device. It is a support tool, not a replacement for emergency services.
I built RescueNow around a practical problem: the information needed in an emergency is often scattered or hard to communicate quickly. The app brings SOS contacts, location, medical context, travel details, reminders, and recent rescue history into one local-first flow. I would especially value feedback on clarity and trust—what would you need to see before relying on a safety tool like this?
Love the encrypted on-device storage and the quick SOS idea. One thing that would make me more confident using it: let me set a check-in timer during hikes or solo trips, so if I don't confirm I'm okay within X minutes it auto-sends my last known location to my contacts.
The offline medical QR is a really thoughtful touch—having something first responders can scan even when there's no signal could genuinely save someone precious seconds.
