Easy local sources of your dependencies for LLM context
repos-as-docs (rasd) keeps local git clones of your dependencies, matched to your installed versions — tests, docs, history — indexed for coding agents. No need to curl github N times.
Hello,
I decided to publish this tiny tool I made for myself to get familiar with PH launches. It's easy!
I've actually seen people reference the crude way of doing this where simple git clones are kept somewhere for the LLMs to look over. It's useful but with RASD:
1. You don't care about where the "documentation" repos are cloned at.
2. Your clones are at the head commit relevant for the project you care about. Even if multiple projects have different pinned versions
3. It's easier to keep your clones updated.
4. If you are cloning and then rolling your own versions (valid!) your LLM might be reading stuff that is not Licensed permissively. I like to keep my "research" clones free of that kinda stuff.
