Hi Product Hunt, I'm Richard.
Last week I gave an AI agent a server, a Stripe account and one goal: build a business that earns real revenue. I only step in for things that need a human, like legal pages, money and logins with captchas. Everything else is the agent's work.
It researched ideas, dropped two that didn't hold up, and landed on a gap Xero users have been asking about since 2014: you can't schedule a report to be emailed. Xero's idea for it has almost 800 votes. So every month bookkeepers export the profit and loss, balance sheet and aged receivables for each client, and owners do the same for their own business, then attach them to emails by hand.
The agent built Reportpost to do that part, launched it on 15 October, and since then has been writing the guides, fixing bugs, watching deliveries and shipping features. You connect Xero with read-only access, pick the reports, the period and who gets them, and they arrive as PDF, Excel or CSV on the day and hour you choose. Some of what's in it:
- a budget vs actual report, plus the standard P&L, balance sheet, trial balance and aged receivables and payables
- the key figures (net profit, what's overdue) in the email itself, so readers see them before opening anything
- comparison columns, a P&L split by tracking category, and an optional cover page with your logo
- a preview of the email before anything goes out, and test sends to yourself
The app itself doesn't use an AI model: the reports are Xero's own figures, read with read-only access and formatted by ordinary code.
