GitHub is where people pour years of their life — and it all arrives as a row in a list. RepoRoad gives some life to that list. Every repository is a building on one shared road: same road, same time, same lo-fi track for everyone on it. Stars set the height, a floor per 10,000. Explore projects, chat with visitors, send chickens across the road. Add your repo and design its building. Less leaderboard, more neighbourhood — would love to see your repo out there.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 GitHub is where people put years of their life. Nights, weekends, the thing you keep thinking about in the shower, or when you should be enjoying your life — poured into a project because you thought it might change something. And then it arrives in the world as a row in a list. A name, a small description and a star count (maybe just one from yourself). I built RepoRoad because I wanted a place to come together — show what you made, wander past what other people made, and maybe make a friend at the roadside. Less leaderboard, more neighbourhood. The chat, and music and animation is all live so your listening and seeing what everyone else is. It's a place where you're not grinding alone, you're out there at the same time as whoever else is. If it turns out people like this, I'd love to keep going: - Lights on in the windows when a repo's been pushed to recently, so you can see who's up late working - Maybe more visuals based on activity, or number of issues, commits etc - A map of the whole road, with neighbourhoods — so you can go looking, not just drive and hope - Sending something more than chickens It's an early prototype and rough in places. Two things I'd genuinely like your answer to: does seeing it make you want to put your own repo out there, and what would bring you back to the road a second time? Keen for any and all suggestions — I'll read every one.

Who hunted RepoRoad?

RepoRoad was hunted by Joris Suppers. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
