Hey hunters! I'm Jacob, a co-founder at Repobear. Bit of a back story... I'm a full stack developer in NYC and have been building a developer Youtube channel over the past year. I came across the need to share private repositories with a large number of people and realised there's just no super clean way to achieve this... So we built Repobear. With Repobear you can generate sharable links, manage user access, accept payments and share your private repositories securely at scale. You can even disable cloning. Boom. You might be wondering what specific use cases you'd use Repobear? Here's some examples... 1. You have a killer web app you're working on in secret. You want to share a link to a handful of recruiters as you apply to jobs but there's no way to know each recruiter's Github email. Simply generate a share link and you're good to go. 2. You upload developer tutorials to a large Youtube following and want to paywall access to a basket of repositories. You set the price to a one-time-fee of $17. 3. You want to share your startup's private codebase with a few VC firms prior to a raise. You're not sure who specifically needs access but you can keep track of who is accessing your code within the Repobear dashboard. You also want to prevent cloning so you'd rather not assign collaborator access inside Github. 4. You want to share code with peers. But you don't want them to clone the repo. You simply generate a URL and disable cloning. 5. You want to share a private repository with a specific company. Limit access to only those who are part of a certain domain (eg. [email protected]) + and the list goes on. We're currently building a waitlist so hop on board! Love the idea. A product I have been needing. Will there be an SDK available that allows for in-app payment processing, for example with Stripe? Additionally, will it have the capability to automatically generate and send links to users upon successful payment?

Amazing. Coders certainly deserve a more streamlined method to be compensated for their diligence. I envision Repobear enhancing the quality of the software developed worldwide for this very reason. Congrats on the launch!

I like the name, every animal like app gets an instant upvote from me. in all seriousness this is a great idea. how do you prevent fraud? is it through legal action only?

Thank you so much for all the support! Jacob and I are currently finishing building the 1st version of Repobear. If you'd like to be one of our first users please join our free waitlist https://tally.so/r/wvyZbD ❤️

Hey Jacob - this is a great idea! Somebody will make a lot of money in this space for sure - and I loved how you framed the problem. Btw just checked out your YouTube Channel. Really great content! Keep up the awesome work. Subscribed, excited to follow along :)

Have been following you for a while now and really love this. What I like the most is the how organized everything is (also less anxiety inducing 😅)

Hey, love the idea of your product as I already had the same idea and am super excited someone did it. If you had offered one time lifetime pricing of let's say 99$ I'd bought, but this yearly thing is not for me unless it makes sense like ongoing cost on the provider side.

Amazing job guys! I'm impressed with your product—it's not only useful and user-friendly, but the design and graphics are also outstanding. Congratulations on your launch guys!

Congratulations on the launch! 🎉 The use cases you've outlined are spot on, and I can already see how Repobear could streamline so many workflows. From sharing code with recruiters to paywalling tutorials, this tool seems incredibly versatile. Keep up the amazing work!
