Reply Ghost is a Chrome extension that writes LinkedIn posts, replies and comments in a sidebar, in your voice. It never posts, clicks or types for you. Nothing is sent to LinkedIn and nothing on the page is touched, so there is no automation to detect. You copy the draft you like and paste it yourself. Train it on 20 to 50 of your own posts and the generic AI voice goes. Also includes 50 post structures and a pattern analyser that turns a post into a template. Free tier: 5 drafts, no signup.
Hi Product Hunt, maker here.
I built Reply Ghost after watching people get their LinkedIn accounts restricted for using automation tools. The pattern was always the same: the tool clicked buttons and posted on their behalf, LinkedIn noticed behaviour no human produces, and the account paid for it.
So the design rule was: the extension is not allowed to act. It drafts text in a sidebar and stops. Copying and pasting is deliberately left to you. That one decision removes the entire category of risk, and it is verifiable. The manifest requests three permissions (storage, context menus, active tab) plus one host permission for linkedin.com so the sidebar can appear there. There is no cookies permission. Network requests go only to my own backend, and only when you press a button.
The other thing I cared about is voice. Generic AI text is easy to spot and worse than writing nothing. Paid tiers train a voice profile on 20 to 50 of your own posts, and store a derived style summary rather than your posts.
Things it deliberately does not do: post for you, schedule, auto-comment, predict engagement, or invent quotes and sources.
Pricing: free tier with 5 drafts a month and no signup, then GBP 9, 19 and 49 a month.
I will be here all day. The most useful thing you can tell me is where a draft sounded like AI. That is the bug I care most about.
The copy-paste workflow is clever, especially since nothing actually touches LinkedIn. Trained it on a few of my old posts and the draft in my voice was close enough that I only tweaked a line or two.
Love that it stays out of LinkedIn entirely, no DOM touching, no sketchy automation. That kind of restraint on an AI writing tool is rare and shows real respect for platform rules.

Who hunted Reply Ghost?
Reply Ghost was hunted by Sam McEwen. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
