The Backstory & Problem: A while back, I realized that tracking the most fundamental exercise—the push-up—was broken. You were either forced to break your workout rhythm to manually tap a sweaty phone screen, or deal with smartwatch apps that couldn't actually tell if you were hitting full depth.
The Build: I teamed up with an incredible lead engineer (who prefers to stay anonymous and let the code do the talking!). Together, we built RepDaily to solve this friction once and for all.
We leveraged AI development workflows (including Claude Code) to build a hyper-lean product—keeping the total app footprint under 2.9 MB while running all computer vision processing locally on your device. Zero video uploads, 100% private, zero cloud latency.
