Hi, I’m Nick 👋. I created Remind Me Faster. This app exists because it took too long to get something out of my head and into Apple Reminders (without talking to Siri - sometimes talking just isn’t convenient). The friction meant I’d often get distracted or not add things at all. Remind Me Faster eliminates that friction. It aims to do one thing well: get tasks into Apple Reminders as fast as possible. It complements the Reminders app on your phone, rather than replacing it. Integrating with Reminders means you also get notifications that stick to the lock screen, which I believe still isn’t available to other apps. Key features: • Set time or date alerts using natural language - e.g. "Reply to Mike tomorrow 10am". • Set time or date alerts with a tap, using preset times or durations. • Set location alerts with two taps. • Choose any list to add to. • Set priority (• ! !! !!!) • Lock Screen launcher widget • Share sheet extension • URL scheme support • Alternative app icons Most functionality is available for free, with some one-off IAPs for extra features. Additional notes: 1. I built Remind Me Faster v1.0 ~8 years ago, and then posted it here 5 years ago. I’ve released many updates since then, including natural language support and location alerts. Recently I’ve refreshed the design/animations and added a share extension. 2. Many newer Reminders features (like tags and subtasks) aren’t available in Remind Me Faster because Apple’s EventKit API doesn’t support them yet. When/if that happens, I’ll add them. That said, I still personally use this all the time even without those newer features, so perhaps others will too. I hope you find it as useful as I do. I've always got more planned, and I’d love to hear any feedback you have. Feel free to reach out here, or via the contact links in the app.

What features do you have that the reminders app does not? It also supports natural language, and it takes just one click to start adding a reminder. I'm trying to understand.

@remindmefaster what have you launched today, the product is very impressive, hopefully it can become a pillar or bridge that can make things easier and can be useful in the future, and congratulations on the launch 🤝

That's actually one of a few things that stopping me from switching to reminders for daily stuff :) Mac app would be also so welcome!

Hi @remindmefaster Congratulations on the product launch! Hopefully this will be a successful first step and open up many new opportunities. We are confident that this product will have a positive impact and meet customer needs. Good luck for the future 👏👏

I think this will be really useful. It might be helpful to have a notification or alert feature that reminds you if you haven’t added a task after a certain period.

I appreciate the focus on minimizing distraction. It would be helpful if there was an option to sync tasks with other productivity apps or tools for a more integrated experience.

I’m excited about reducing friction with task entry. Could you add a feature to categorize or tag tasks for better organization once they’re in Reminders?

Congrats on the launch! I love the idea of minimizing friction. Currently, I often use Siri for Apple Reminders - the only thing I use Siri for. What's the advantage of this compared to dictating reminders with Siri.

I’m excited to try this out as I rely heavily on Apple Reminders. Does it offer any unique features or shortcuts that make adding tasks even faster?

Just used it, love the quick toggles. I find Siri quite useful when creating reminders but it often gets the time wrong. In some situations I can’t use voice as well.

I’m always looking for ways to improve my task management, and this looks promising. How does it complement the existing Reminders app without replacing it?

I love the idea of a tool that helps get tasks into Apple Reminders quickly. How does it integrate with the existing Reminders app?

The best companion for Apple Reminders, I love it. I highly recommend it if you use Apple Reminders on your daily basis. Tip: add the shortcut to your Lock Screen. Excellent job @remindmefaster!

I'm an avid user of Remind Me Faster. I have all of the paid features. Nick has developed the most polished version of the app over the years and has been consistently supportive of feature requests and bug reports. He was kind enough to compliment me, noting that I was one of the top users of the app based on the number of reminders I'd created. I'd love to see a robust Mac version of this app someday. All the best. P.S.: I hope the app doesn't get Sherlocked with the new Type to Siri with Apple Intelligence in the picture. @remindmefaster
