Top comment

Hi Product Hunt! 👋 We built Remask because AI coding and productivity tools increasingly need access to real-world context—but that context often contains information that should never leave your device. Remask lets you keep using your preferred AI tools while adding a local privacy layer in front of them. It detects names, emails, phone numbers, account IDs, credentials, API keys, and custom organization-specific patterns, then replaces them with stable typed placeholders before sending the request upstream. Our goal is simple: give AI the context it needs, without giving away the identity behind that context. We’d love your feedback: - Which AI tools do you want to protect? - Which PII categories or custom patterns matter most to you? - Would you prefer API Gateway, Proxy Gateway, or both? Try the local masking test and let us know what you think!

Who hunted Remask?

Remask was hunted by Zion. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
