RelWave
A local-first database client with Git-powered workflows
RelWave is a modern, cross-platform database management and visualization tool. Connect, explore, and visually map PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, and SQLite databases naturally.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I'm Yash, the developer behind RelWave.
RelWave started from a simple frustration. While building applications, I found myself switching between multiple tools for schema visualization, SQL queries, migrations, and version control. I wanted a single workspace that brought all of these workflows together in one fast, native desktop application.
After months of building, testing, and refining, I'm excited to finally launch RelWave v1.0.0.
RelWave includes:
• Visual ER Diagrams
• Git-powered schema versioning
• Migration management
• SQL workspace
• Data visualization
• AI assistance
• Native desktop performance built with Tauri
• Local-first architecture with secure credential storage
It currently supports PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, and SQLite.
RelWave is completely open source, and this is just the beginning. My goal is to build a database client that feels modern, fast, and enjoyable to use while keeping developers in control of their data.
I'd genuinely love to hear your feedback:
• Which feature interests you the most?
• What would you like to see in future releases?
• What would make you choose RelWave over your current database client?
Thank you for checking out RelWave and supporting independent builders. Every piece of feedback helps make the project better. ❤️
Curious how the visual mapping handles really large schemas with hundreds of tables, does it stay snappy or does it get cluttered fast. Any plans to support SQL Server or MongoDB down the line?
How does the visual mapping actually work for really large schemas with hundreds of tables? Curious if it stays readable or turns into spaghetti pretty fast.
How does the visual mapping actually work with more complex relational setups, like tables with lots of foreign keys or deeply nested schemas? Curious if it stays readable or turns into spaghetti after a certain point.
