I’m Rory, a videographer in British Columbia. A lot of my work is monthly content for retainer clients, and I built Relayyed for them.
The shooting and editing were never the messy part. It was everything after: feedback spread across texts and emails, notes like “can you change the part near the end?”, a new Drive link every month, and no clear record of what a client actually signed off on.
Tools like Frame.io are great, but they’re built for production teams and one-off projects. A retainer is different. It’s the same client with new videos every month, and someone on their side who just wants to watch on their phone and say yes.
