Most AI chat products would file that under practice. I don't think it is. Nobody can simulate what a real person would actually say back, and pretending otherwise sells a promise the software can't keep. So this isn't practice, it's role play: not rehearsing for a conversation still to come, but playing out one that never happened — or one that did, in the version where you said what you meant to.
Which means the whole thing is built around authorship rather than accuracy:
• You build a Persona first — fifteen questions about how you like to be spoken to — and it shapes every reply, including the opening line the character sends you.
