I built Refynd because I kept seeing the same thing happen at home.
Someone searches for a modest dress, opens a few stores, and spends forever scrolling past dresses that obviously won’t work. Then when they finally find one, it’s sold out in their size.
The problem is that most stores only let you filter by things like color, size, and price. You can’t really filter by sleeve length, neckline, dress length, slits, sheerness, or how formal the dress is.
Refynd pulls dresses from different retailers into one place and analyzes the product images so you can filter based on the things you actually care about.
You set your preferences once, and then search across all the stores at the same time.
It’s built with Next.js and Supabase, and I’m using a vision model to classify the dresses. When the model isn’t confident, I’d rather hold the dress back than show the wrong result.
Still early, so I’d really appreciate feedback.
